Indie horror survival The Forest took over the internet when it was initially released. It’s not a surprise that there’s a sequel in the works.
Fans may wait a few hours to return to The Forest and fight cannibalistic mutants because the game was delayed another time.
The team behind the game of Endnight Games explained on Twitter: “Due to the scope of our new game, Sons of the Forest, it has been hard to pinpoint an exact release date, and today we have to delay one last time.”

Sons of the Forest was originally planned to be released in August 2022. However, it was moved to October 2022. Fans were thrilled about the release scheduled for this month.
The developers have recently decided to delay the release date by one time to finish the Sons of the Forest elements.
As of now, Sons of the Forest will be released on February 23, 2023.

Sons of the Forest Console Release Explained
Sons of the Forest is exclusively available on PC at the time of writing. Endnight Games has yet to confirm when the game will be available for consoles (PS4/PS5/Xbox One/Xbox Series S|X).
It is worth noting that before Endnight Games released The Forest on PS4; however, it was not available on Xbox consoles.
When asked by Gamingbolt whether the possibility of an Xbox version could be made, Anna Terekhova of Endnight responded:
“Sony had first contacted us back when the initial trailer for the game was released,” she added. “We were able to build a good relationship with them, and knowing that as a small team, we would only be able to focus on one console at a time, being exclusive for a short period made sense.”
If she was asked about an Xbox version, she said, “We’d love to bring the game to Xbox in the future.”
While this is just speculation at the time being, we’d think the possibility that Sons of the Forest could be released for PS4 or PS5 shortly; however, considering Endnight Games still a small group, it’s not likely to get this game for Xbox consoles with no any further development or assistance.

Currently, Sons of the Forest will be available only for PC. We are still determining whether a console version is in the works.

Sons of the Forest Story
It needs to be clarified what part the story’s story plays within Sons of the Forest. Still, the trailers that have been shown suggest that the story will begin (surprise and surprise) with an accident involving a helicopter that leaves your character trapped in a forest.
The spooky woman who could or might not be a hallucination might hint at a narrative thread to follow.
